More shooting, less walking and traveling all over the place. The game is pretty easy to put down.

I was used to free look while driving vehicles in other games. This feels a bit weird.

For an FPS with vehicles HALO is still the only one that feels natural to me. The controls were perfect.

Man these Power Plant levels look awesome and I love the illusion of choice yet it's still a corridor shooter.

So there is a Bong hit lady next to the plitz sign in subway town, and I just realized the bottom part of the bong is an image of the Cyberdemon from doom I

I finished the game yesterday, and I can see what people meant, I didn't feel like I was on a final mission, but the ending cut scene was great. I won't say anything more specific for now.

Yea I'm gonna start over and give more value to things like the crystals and the recipes to create things with.

I'm still a bit confused with what should be sold and what should not. The inventory and buy/sell UI's are less than stellar, but I get the feeling that's a console port concession on iD's part. I see a big dollar sign under things that I can use in recipes. Maybe it's a bug, but I figured the big dollar sign means sell it and forget it.

Would also like a better way to pick my quick use item instead of fumbling around with F1 thru F4 all the time. Be nice to cycle through the 4 options or have some selection element similar to the weapon/ammo selection load-out.

You can bind the quick use selections to other keys. I put the grenades in a slot and bound it to G .. hm.. Not at home ATM I might have done that in a cfg file rather than in the gui, I forget.

$ = sell it and forget it because you don't own the recipe therefore you can't use it anyway, however you have the option to hang onto it in case a recipe does become available for you to buy that makes use of it.

Food cans, beer, and wine bottles are some things are just Wasteland junk and should be sold without question so you can use the money for ammo or whatever.

Ya know, I could probably play the whole game using just the Dynamite and Mind Control bolts. Pure bliss. Too bad they don't seem to leave a body behind to loot :D

I found the caps lock key cycles through the quick-use items. It's not in the key board setup UI, but I guess it must be in the config.

Alright, I have to eat a little crow here with the "doesn't look much better than Crysis" statement. Game looks amazing. I still get some graphical glitches the drive me a bit nuts, but seriously...there is so much detail in these environments, I can't really fathom how long they worked on this. Just wow! The enemy animations are pretty outstanding as well. The AI is good. Can not wait to see Doom3 on this engine.
