Earlier trailers (teasers actually) didn't show some of what the current strings of videos show about the game engine.

What do you guys think of the new IP from iD Software?

What games are you watching out for if not this one?

I'm not terribly excited about it, but I'll be buying it. I want to see more info on the next DOOM. RAGE looks like Fallout 3 w/ racing to me.

The next Battlefield game is high on my list.

I'm also more interested to see what other games do with the idtech5 engine, but I do quite like the way AI is being done in RAGE with more diverse routines instead of them always coming from the same place each time and a more dynamic feel to the AI as if they are reacting to your path through the map not just the 2 seconds as you appear in front of them.

Rage will ship with an editor and SDK right off the bat, which is something that I am pretty fired up about.

Of course, I will probably need to upgrade my PC to play it.

Brink looks pretty cool.

Just been playing a lot of sc2 lately.

Loved the AI in STALKER series. The gun fights are just epic.

Haven't posted in here in a long time. I occasionally would stop by and see what was going on. Don't know if anyone remembers me or not. Anyway, am I thinking about getting back in to PC gaming a bit. I have been mostly using my free computer time playing poker, but that has pretty much been shut down now. So what games do you guys like to play? I see Duke Nukem is finally going to be released and I will probably buy that. So what else do you guys recommend. I guess Quake is pretty much done by now. I have just put together a new system so I don't even have Quake installed anymore. Anyone still playing it?

I was looking at the Rage website and looks interesting, might give that one a look when it comes out.

Thanks, I have been out of this for a long time. I joined and played a match with bots only and won. I could tell if I played against anyone with any skill I would be toast. It took me quite few tries to get back to a decent config for my weapons and movement. It was fun to play again though. So is this where games are going now to a subscription based deal?

I remember you!

I currently have two Q3 servers running.

SPYDERWEB 63.211.110.56:27960 330 custom maps with about 20 in rotation all the rest can be voted, (callvote map mapname in the console) and download is on if you don't have some of them. I also have an ftp site to get some of my favorites it is http://spyderweb.clanservers.com/anonymous

SPYDERWEB-2 63.211.105.70 CPMA v1.48 (you must have all current CPMA maps loaded also to play) it also has a few customs added. You must vote the maps - no rotation and no auto download.

I have been playing Crysis 2, Call of Duty modern warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and many others (I even bought the original Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition from 3D Realms for less than 6 bucks - yes, you can still get it and it is ported to work under windows!)

I am having a blast playing the original Duke - it is still funny, and a blast from the past.

I also signed up for pro status on Quake Live, and was involved in the beta testing for it.

If you get a chance stop by at my servers (they don't get a lot of activity, but sometimes about 4 or 5 players show up and we have some fun)

Good to see you again!
