Just built the new gaming rig.

http://duprints.com/machine/

No reason to buy the faster processor, the 920 seems to be the value chip right now.

Stock speed is 2.66  w/133 fsb.

With only the retail intel heatsink/fan I upped the fsb bit by bit to 166, havent even had to manually up voltages anywhere.  This intel board (dx58so) has some of the same oc tweaks as other overclockers out there.  I could probably melt the RAM if I wanted to.  heh  Its been grinding prime calculations on and off for a day without a hiccup.  This chip automatically adjusts the multiplier and core voltage on the fly per demand.  So the screenshot below is during 'high demand', its running at 3.5GHz.

I'll leave it there for now, maybe back off a bit.  The intel board monitoring software (gives temp readings, among other things) doesn't install on the windows7 x64.

Had to go through all the games and rediscover all the cfg tweaks I put in due to being underpowered on the vid card for so many years.   Wow, things are purdy now.
