Hi, sorry to bother you guys but I'm interested in getting QW's but I can't find the minimum specs to save my life. Anyone know of a link?

Also, how long has QW's been out? (yeah, I've been under a rock lately a.k.a. recently married)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the repsone. No single player mode huh? So there's no getting up to speed before entering multi-player. I'll guess newbies make popular teammates...not.

Yes indeed there IS a single player mode. You can play skirmishes against BOTs.

The learning curve is a little steep, but you can always join a game as a medic and just follow your team mates around and heal them, call in air drops of supplies (ammo and health), and drop as many health packs as you can. They will appreciate it. Just try to stay alive long enough so that they don't get too far ahead of you

hey k8105, welcome to BG.

There is no real "single player mode", but like Keen stated, you can play in skirmish mode against the bots to get used to the controls and learn the maps.

The system specs are a little steep, however most gaming rigs should be able to play it at least on low quality, which still doesnt look bad at all.

Hey,

Thanks for everyone's response. I appreciate you taking your valuable time to help me.

Okay, I DL the demo and my machine seems to run it well enough even on the highest settings so that's good.

Question though, for some reason while playing the demo, I can't bring down the console (alt+ctrl+ ~) Is this a demo thing or what. Also I don't know how to control the helicopters...any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Have not figured out the flying vehicles myself. From what I understand there's something that will toggle the keyboard for better flight control.

Check the keyboard bindings for what is bound to bring down the console.

Hey k8105, check out this thread I posted, it should help you with some of hte basic questions you are asking...

As for flying in ETQW, check out these tutorials posted here on burialgrounds, they are fairly helpful...

Wow, many thanks to everyone's help. The tips are extremely appreciated. Thanks!

I'm still playing the demo but I plan on buying ETQW's either this weekend or next.

One thing that bothers me a little while playing the bots, when I hide in brush somehow I'm seen even though I hid before any bots saw me hide and I haven't fired yet. I know I'm not visible because I went into 3rd person and added some distance and I couldn't see myself. What are they keying on..my scent? !dodge

Also, ETQW's runs and looks pretty good on my relatively average machine. I wonder if you could look at these screenies and give me an idea of how my machine is rendering this game.

Are there any tweaks I can make to improve the look of the game?

Once again, many thanks for your time and patience.
