Extract the zip to your q4base folder. You can load the map via the menu (create server, select map from list).

More screenies are available on my most recent blog post.

Just ran through real quick. Oh it looks and feels Sooo nice. Couple questions though. The ladder at the RL doesn't take you all the way up. You have to "jump off" at the end. Is that by design? It's not a problem if you know to do it. And, there is no sound when you walk through the water.

Looks finished though. Great Job. :D

Looks fantastic. Only thing I noticed is the missing nailgun. You do have ammo boxes for nails, but no nailgun.

Nice. Not sure if my skillz suck or that plasma climb to RA is harder in q4? So is the double jump to RA I thought, but then again, I'm not a speed expert.

One new unclipped hidey spot above and behind the JP that takes you up to the plasma. Maybe intentional, dunno.

One ladder get stuck on near the top of it - maybe the one by the new RL. Like that new RL too... :)

Nice as usual storm... but not sure what is up, it seems to be way more taxing FPS wise than other maps...something to think about.

Other than that I think it seems to need to be slightly bigger... there wasn't much room to go... but that may be different in 1vs1.. FFA is carnage hehehe

Thanks for the replies!

- I had a nailgun in place of the blaster - when i put the blaster in, i forgot to change the ammo!

- It is a little tougher to do the double jump to RA. I may extend the platform out a bit to make it easier.. but then again I may just leave it :) I always like a challenge!

- Ill find a way to fix the ladder at the lower RL. I dont know why its not working properly, as it worked just fine in q3. Ill add another couple steps.

- The plasma jump is quite do-able, it just takes a bit of practice :) Its actually easier to do with the nailgun - but nailgun jumps are so strong that its really easy to overshoot your target.

- That unclipped area above the jpad isnt supposed to be there - ill clip it off

- Not sure about the water sound.. ill look into it. I may also add a trigger_hurt so it does a bit of damage if you dont jump over the lava just right.

- The map is a little rough on fps. Im not extremely familiar with all the optimizing techniques for q4 yet, but I will look into them. Ill probably spend some time over the next few days looking at the default maps and learning how they were optimized.

I think the size is pretty good, as this is primarilly 1v1 or small ffa map. If the compieler is anything like the q3 compiler, I can probably add a _scale key to the compile and experiment with the size.

- Thanks Hex for hosting the map - its much appreciated. The sad thing is that I cant get online and play :/ But im glad others seem to be enjoying it :)

I played a few minutes last night, and had a blast. You listed some of the things I noticed, so no additional feedback on my part, except "Thanks!"
