This has been on my harddrive forever. I made the models and textures 2-3 years ago and haven't been able to make something out of them. I definately chose the wrong engine to build this in; a lot of it's been a real pain to make. Radiant ain't that great to work with terrain for sure.

I wasn't able to compile vis on it. It sat there for over a day until I finally gave up on it. I have other things to do with my computer. I did do a fastvis, but I don't think it did anything. The whole level seems to be visible all the time.

I wasn't able to compile a bot file either. It said something like MAX_MAP_PLANES or something like that. Another reminder of wrong engine choice. I don't even know if this is playable actually.

Well anyway, at least I've released it now and I can move on. Sort of.

Unfortunately I don't have q3 installed anymore :(

I know there are some issues with getting q3 bots to run properly on a map with lots of terrain.

To get it to work with bots you would have to do some agressive bot clipping, specially closing off any where with large empty volumes that they would never go into such as the sky, making the actual area the bots can move in as focused as possible.

Again with the VIS you need to manually "focus" it to the gameplay area, increase the _blocksize in worldspawn, make careful use of caulk vis blockers and hint brushes, etc.

Hey ALMighty!

I thought you might be interested to know that your map Power Metal (almdm1) is alive and well and is being played in my server rotation.

Thanks to dmschaos, my server (SPYDERWEB ) is shown on the home page of this great gaming forum.

The popularity of Q3 is still pretty good, after all of these years, and I still enjoy playing it very much.

Another one of your great maps, ARENA13 (alm3dm4) is one that I enjoyed playing on the Burial-grounds server.

I have decided to add this one to the rotation soon also.

Thanks for the great maps that you have created for Q3 !
