Post subject:  Annoying SLI balloon message

I don't know how many people are seeing this, but I bought a SLI motherboard in hopes to go SLI later and am running 1 single PCIE video card a 6800.

After downloading the 91.31 drivers I kept getting a yellow balloon message saying SLI was disabled every time I'd boot.

Finally found [link=http://forums.tweakguides.com/showthread.php?t=3501&page=3]this[/link] which leads you to this reg key...

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\MediaCenterTray]
"NvCplDisableBalloonNotifications"=dword:00000001

setting it to a one disabled that annoying balloon. hope it helps some one else.

PS if you're nervous about editing the registrt download the dot reg file in that forum thread and simply double click it.

My bro gets that message and hes running an AGP system and so obviously a system that couldn't even support SLI, most odd - I'll pass along the info to him tho, thanks for the heads up.
