Post subject:  LED readouts on PC Cases

I bought the case below. I'm putting together a system...basically one piece at a time. I'm buying one piece each paycheck :D

Question is, should I be looking for anything in particular on a motherboard that would indicate it would work well with the LED readout on the case?

Well Finko, don't bother going to http://www.atrix.com/ for information on that case!

Newegg lists these features for the case:
Intelligent temperature panel controls and monitors CPU, HDD, VGA temperature, display date and time as well as extra fans status

Based on that I would look to see what motherboards provide that data output. (stating the obvious, aren't I? )

It's hard to tell if there are any any temperature elements in the bundle of wiring inside the case, or in the "enclosed parts" picture.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Typically you would put a small sensor between your CPU chip and the heat sink. I've just never felt good about doing it. My last Tornado heat sink had auto speed adjust based on CPU temp and I never hooked that part up.

Maybe they've come up with a better way by now??

My abit nf7s r2 has 2 temp sensors on it from the factory. One where the proc sits and one on the other side of the mobo for ambient temps. MBM5 reads them both. Presently 21C ambient and 36C proc. Don't know about the accuracy though. :D
