I'm a bit confused though is that just a case? because to me barebones means system borad case and PSU, your thoughts?

Yes, but just think - you get four alienware eyes, four perimeters, a bunch of front panel jacks, and a genuine Alienware 700 watt power supply.

Plus, you can fill it with a bunch of crappy components, and fool your friends into thinking you have a "real" Alienware PC !

omg, ripoff.

i agree, "barebones" should include at least the motherboard, and sometimes CPU (letting you add on gfx, hdd, etc). if it were $249, i could see that - a quality 700W power supply costs a decent chunk of change, plus that's not an ordinary beige tower they're offering either... but $399? wtf.
