You have about 33 hours left to pick up some great deals on Steam.

Far Cry and Far Cry 2 for less than 3 dollars.

Far Cry 3 25% off.

And many more.

Got it!

Thanks for the heads up Finko!!!

I just bought a Sapphire Radeon HD7850 card to upgrade my system.

It was delivered yesterday - it will replace my 5770.

It came with a voucher for Tombraider and Bioshock 3 on Steam.

Downloaded Tombraider yesterday.

Hope to install the new card today.

Can't wait to see the difference!!! :o

Are you running AGP or PCI Express 2.0 X16 on your mobo?

The new standard is PCI Express 3.0 X16, but no AMD motherboards support it yet, however there are a few Intel based boards that do.

AMD is working on that standard, but I do not know when it will be available.

The card I have supports PCI Express 3.0 X16, but it is backwards compatible with my MSI PCI-E 2.0 X16 board. I lose about 10 to 20 percent of it's overall power, but it still outperforms my 5770 card by a large margin, and the 7850 is rated second in the Passmark benchmarks for price to performance ratio out of the top 50 graphics cards.

It is rated #20 on their overall list of the top performers, most of which range between $214.00 and $1,762 bucks. I paid $169 for it, and got the two games for free on Steam, which are supposed to be worth $149.

If you are still using AGP, and if you can find one, I would recommend the XFX Radeon AGP 8x 4650 600M with 1 Gig of DDR2 ram. It has served me well on my home theater PC. The XFX model number is HD-465X-ZP, and the part number is HD-465X-ZPF2

I have pcie 2.0. I didn't know the 3.0cards could be backwards compatible. I'll have to look into that.
