Well I'm excited that more than a few of us are getting it but I don't know that you'll get what your expecting in multiplayer. If I thought multiplayer would be bigger I would get it for the PC but as it stands I do most my gaming on the 360 so...

Played for a few minutes. Shame it's not the good old days when I could play all night. Always tomorrow. First screenie. Looks awesome of course.

Hmmm...kind of shady. Some obvious texture issues with a lot of PC systems. Textures kind of pop in as you turn around and such. Performance is not that good. Think there's an issue with the way the game auto adjusts to your rig. Pretty annoying. Apparently they're working on it, but hard to believe they weren't aware of it before release.

Now am happy about my decision to buy for the 360. Even though not getting until payday! :)

There is an updated AMD driver for Rage released. Downloading now.

Normal PC game tweak stuff is being discovered. The difference here is that it is an id game, with the normal techniques available so the fixes are coming more quickly rather than waiting for a trainer or similar to be built.

goto your 3d controls and make the 3d stuff 'application controlled' for RAGE.
get the latest drivers.
make a folder for the texture cache file (bug, the game cannot create the file unless you go create the folder)
tweak some settings in a rageconfig.cfg.

seta vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly2 "8192"
seta vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly "8192"
seta vt_pageimagesizeunique "8192"
seta vt_pageimagesizevmtr "8192"

(above is for a vidcard with at least 1G ram)

I found some good info here which also includes links to other sites/fixes:

It's purdy. And fun. I Like it plenty.

Don't make my console command instincts kick in. I don't have the kind of time to invest. :)

Borderline unplayable right now. Runs smooth, then freezes for 5 seconds...rinse repeat.

Tried the texture cache folder fix and the config file. Running a Radeon HD 6800 with 1 gig vram. Updated catalyst drivers. Can't say it looks any better than Crysis2, but runs 10x worse. Crysis 2 ran like a dream maxed out. Hope they get this figured out. Game doesn't need to be tweaked. It needs to be fixed.

That sucks.

My 560Ti ran it out of the box. The only "problem" I really had was the texture popping, which is gone now with the cache and some of the tweaks.

The default params that the game shipped with weren't even making the card sweat. Some of the tweaking is just telling the game to utilize more of the cards capabilities/horsepower.
