Post subject:  Video Editing Software?

I'm trying to help out my buddy's band by chopping up some of his video footage recorded at a few of their shows to put on their myspace ect.

Anyone know of any programs that arent too complicated? I need to learn how to paste some video over bad spots but leaving the sound play?, like where the camera gets shaky or it pans off too long.

Here is my first shot. Not too great but it's the first time I've ever done anything like this.

XP comes with some software that might be what you're after.

I think it's under Accessories or Multimedia. Windows Movie Maker. Lets you import from most file types or directly from a webcam. Does some rudimentary transitions, fades and effects too.

Ya they kick ass. I hope to get better footage of them this weekend. The camera girl was a little tipsy when she recorded these. :D They also need to get better quality songs on their myspace... it doesn't represent them well at all.

Thanks for the help guys. I love learning new stuff. I'm having fun with this so far. :p
