Summer is here! Since I have no ET beta or a new rig let me open a different subject:
How is the outdoors going?
Anyone caught a leviathan yet? Skraggy? :)
Post pics if you have them

One of the longest peers in the west coast is in San Diego. Ocean Beach Fishing Peer:

I usually fish from there when I'm bored. With light tackle I usually catch mackerel and bonito. The place is usually packed since it requires no fishing license. If you are patient and want to go after big ones with heavy tackle you can land leopard, shovel nose or even thresher sharks (last summer they caught a 6 foot thresher shark).

2 weeks ago I was camping off the shore just north of Malibu. I was pissed and equally in awe. I woke up at 6 in the morning and hit the beach while everyone was sleeping in the RV. It sucked to not have a surf rod since just behind the surf the was a steep drop and it was being raided by seals, dolphins, pelicans and seagulls; a complete feeding frenzy. Almost like a scene from Planet Earth series. I just couldn't pass the surf since the tackle was a medium pier rod. In the next couple weeks I'll definitely get on a boat and chase these:

I'll update with my pics later on. :)

We have nice Makos up north (Santa Monica and up) off our coasts (also breeding ground for great whites are right here - I try not to think about it :(( ). Though, I find it very tempting to at least go after Makos some day, I end up thinking what if I land one? I can't eat shark for a year everyday! I usually give away my catch anyway if I fish of the pier. A lot of people fish there to feed their families. So, I smoke a bowl and join in like Goodwill.

But let me tell you bro, a few months ago we caught some calico bass and various rockfish (lots of vermillions) and made a fish and chips dinner with guiness batter. That rocked! :D

Being a teacher.. and an avid bass angler.. I get out 30-40 hours per week! Crazy. I am SO into fishing the last 4 years it has pulled me away from gaming.

Check out my fishing photos... this is the WHOLE list.. but the fishing ones are mixed in there.

I LOVE camping and fishing! Be SURE to enjoy the great outdoors!
