What can you say about that?I haven't played the etqw beta yet but the gameplay seems to be very fast comparing to bf2...

Ive heard that maps at etqw are smaller but the view distance should be awesome since we have no fogging(I wonder if sniper-camping is trade-off here)

I have to say that so far, the speed of ETQW is a bit faster than I would like. I'll get used to it, but I don't remember WolfET being this fast. Could be that I've been out of the FPS loop for too long as well, lol.

I guess it's natural to compare the two games, but I don't see the point. You might as well bring TF2 into the discussion as well. They're all class based warfare games. But that's where the similarities end IMO.

BF2142, your team could 'win' if every single person played the same class. There was no real distinction between classes when it came to the overall team objectives. ANY class can stand on a flag and capture an objective in that game. You can't win a match in ETQW w/o the proper classes pulling their weight. I really like that aspect.

I have not tried Quake- But I feel BF2 is waaaayyy better than BF2142- its all about balance, and simply- FUN

Nothing is more annoying than spawning in 2142 to get hit by some fancy upgrade the 5 star general enemy has... or to get killed by some wierd orb... or grenade... argh its just so agrivating!

I'm better in ET and bf2142 than I was in q3.

When the game gets too fast it's time to be more strategic. Deploy counter measures and be patient. When it comes to scenarios in ETQW, my only fear is that I may get bored of the same objectives over time. Hopefully mapping community will kick some ass on this one.

Well there will be 12 maps which sd has said they've put a lot of effort in making them play different from one another.
Plus from what I can tell splashdamage will be putting a lot of after release support into it which could mean more maps.
But I am also hopping this game will be a big success and gain a strong modding community.
