Deck 2

This time its going to be accomplished in 2 months not 2 years. Straight out 24 feet, over 20 feet and back. 10 feet off the ground, need to be careful this time. Went the permit route for the high deck. All 6 3.5ft x 1ft deck pier digs passed inspection so I called in 4 yards of red concrete on my own co-ordinates ;) I put in wide sidewalk for cans to go from garage around back behind the fence, put in 8x8 hot tub pad and poured the piers.

I just came in from receiving the decking and framing. 20 ft trex sticks, no staining this time either.

Gonna be grill'n and chill'n by the 4th of July. I just had to get rid of the girlfriend and now I have the free time to focus on the deck. Oh yeah

This is going to rock. Daughters going to love it too.

Yes its a little dramatic, has a bit of 'sizzle'. I got some other pics I'll throw up when the sun is down and mosquitos out, a few of them make me think of Q3 due to the geometric shapes and such...

Bummer. 10 foot 6x6 support post fell over as I was staking it in and crashed into my head. Neighbor came over the fence to help out. Left side of head is swollen, hurts to chew.

I am now out there cutting these bastards down to size, that way if the supporting 2x4's give way it wont have quite the impact, nor the danger range.

I have small bones and cannot believe I am not more damaged. I sawsalled 2 feet off one post and it fell and cracked a 2 inch thick flagstone. Perhaps it did not hit me dead on, I think that would have broke my neck, might have been a lucky glancing blow - although from my perspective it felt like a baseball bat dead on.

Lucky...and grateful

The backyard sounds like its gonna be great. Sorry about your cabeza man. Now you know why
they make construction peeps wear hard hats. !grr

We'll be up that way permanent at the end of this month. We put our house on the market last week and
it sold in three days at full asking price. (well above market value also woohoo) We were in Denver all last week
and found a house we really love in Centennial off I-470 at the edge of city. Got good views from up near your
place all the way to Pikes Peak. Didn't get to call you or come by to help out because we were on a mission to
find a house very quickly because of the necessity of getting out of ours really fast. But if you still need a hand
I'll haul up the tools and help if you need some then you can help me finish out the basement. :D The pic below is
obviously taken in the winter by the Realtor. [br][img:width=320&height=240]../../e107_files/public/1181565750_38_FT11008_house.jpg[/img]

Hey thanks Hex. We'll be leaving for D on this 27th. Just have to endure a month of corporate housing somewhere until we get to move into the actual house. Cant wait.
I want to get started on that basement ASAP. Gotta get rid of that white plastic and insulation on the walls. At least the basement is fully carpeted.
Any idea what it would cost to rock a 1000 sq feet?
